End of 2014

2014 is over and it has been my most productive year ever. I made about 65 t shirt quilts, 14 memory quilts of varying kinds for 1 customer, 7 neck tie quilts, 2 handkerchief quilts, 5 wall hangings, 4 art quilts for me and 6 other smaller items. I had 3 art quilts juried into shows and 1 quilt is still on show in Oregon and Washington.

Already I have about 20 quilts in the works for 2015 and I have been selected by my guild to be there "Featured Quilter" at the Foothill Quilt Guilds show at the Auburn Fairgrounds on March 28th and 29th. I am currently working on about 4 new wall hangings to exhibit there as well as a selection of my older art quilts. I am very excited about this.

My last quilt made for 2014.

Summer Quilting Time

With kids out of school, vacation time behind us, I am still trying to keep on top of my quilt production. I recently finished a pair of sports quilts for a brother and sister. He was into basketball  and hers is soccer themed. I've also made a memory quilt for a family that lost their mom and used her clothing items and holiday sweaters to make the quilt. And finally I made a necktie quilt for a physician who retired using all of his tie collection. In the pipeline are graduation quilts for freshman starting college, a hankie memory quilt and a runners marathon/10K quilt.
